Information regarding the leadership positions within the forums is below. Each of these positions serves the people on the forum as best they can, answering questions, lending a helping hand, and building others up.
Lead Moderator
The lead moderator is the head of the forums, and serves them by adding new users, changing usernames, leading the student moderators and rangers, retrieving passwords, reading posts every day, and moderating and administrating in whatever other ways are necessary to benefit the forums.
When the lead moderator steps down, the new lead moderator is chosen by the previous lead moderator with Student Life's approval, and the lead moderator reports to Student Life.

Student Moderator
The two student moderators (one guy, one gal) who assist the lead moderator and the rangers in doing their duties. This includes changing usernames, adding users to groups, leading the rangers, reading posts, and enforcing the rules if necessary. They have full moderating and partial administrative abilities to help them accomplish this. They also have monthly calls with the lead moderator to help them do this.
To become a student moderator, you should have at least 60 credits and have been an active user of the forums for at least a year. Moderators are chosen by the lead moderator with strong input from the current moderators. They serve on 6-month terms, and most serve for more than one term.

Ranger
The four rangers (two guys, two gals) assist the moderators in doing their duties. This primarily involves welcoming new students, reading posts, and reporting any that break the rules. They help guide conversations and clarify confusions if they arise. Rangers also have monthly calls with the other moderators, which are both helpful and fun.
To become a ranger, you should have at least 15 credits and have been an active user of the forums for at least three months. Every four months (in February, June, and October), rangers are nominated by students, approved the moderators, and elected by students.
