Rules & Guidelines
The following rules apply to your use of the entire forums, including posts, PMs, the forum chat, and your profile. These rules exist to make the forums a place for students to form friendships while encouraging each other in academic and spiritual growth. Therefore, treat others better than you'd want to be treated yourself, and build others up in the Lord through your words and actions.
The Forums are not a place for demeaning language towards anyone.
Keep content clean and cultivate a culture of life:
To keep the forums a safe place to build friendships, the following topics should not be discussed on the forums, though passing mentions are permitted:
Keep it legal: Do not encourage or engage in illegal activities on the Forums. This includes, but is not limited to, cheating on tests, discussing specific test questions, the piracy of copyrighted material, etc.
Don’t spam: If you have something to say, say it once. Don't spam people with advertisements, promotions, or solicitations through threads, chat, PMs, or other means of contact.
If you'd like an announcement regarding an event or activity posted, use the CP Bazaar Forum and/or PM a moderator who can post a forums-wide announcement, if appropriate.
If the interpretation of any of these rules is in doubt, moderators will arbitrate the final interpretation. If you have any questions, contact a moderator or a ranger and they will be happy to help you.
If any of these rules are broken, the offending post will be edited or deleted and the poster notified. Violating these rules will result in warnings, demerits, and—if violations continue—can result in the user’s account being banned from the forums.
The Forums are not a place for demeaning language towards anyone.
- No personal attacks, bashing, or bullying of any kind will be allowed.
- This includes elected officials, whether or not you agree with their policies or political views.
- If you feel like you are being bullied or otherwise mistreated, you should contact a moderator. All reports will be held in the strictest confidence possible, and will be investigated and dealt with.
- It's fine if you feel strongly about something, but be sure to take people and their feelings into consideration when airing your opinions or concerns. How you say something is just as important as what you say.
Keep content clean and cultivate a culture of life:
- Profanity, explicit or partial, is forbidden, including images, language, or videos.
- Sexually explicit or implicit images, language, or videos are strictly forbidden in any form.
- Violent, gory, or otherwise visually disturbing images, videos, and language are also forbidden. Advocating violence, zombies, death, manipulation of one’s soul, cruelty and brutality toward animals and people, and the like is not permitted. It’s okay to discuss hunting, guns, fighting, self-defense, and war, but keep it non-graphic.
- Links or embedded videos directing users to content containing the above are also forbidden.
To keep the forums a safe place to build friendships, the following topics should not be discussed on the forums, though passing mentions are permitted:
- Anything of a sexual, intimate, or deeply-personal nature, including, but not limited to, homosexuality, gender identity, contraception, euthanasia etc. It is okay to discuss abortion, but please do so cautiously, as it is a sensitive topic.
- The promotion of legal and illegal addictive substances, including, but not limited to, alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, etc.
- Other content that, upon review by Lumerit Education, does not facilitate academic pursuits or spiritual growth.
